Tabouleh

David made a big port of couscous before he departed to Venezia. It is my 1st time try to couscous and he told me the name of couscous is call Tabouleh. Here is the recipe of Tabouleh. You will love the taste.

Tabbouleh (Arabic: تبولة‎ tabūlah; also tabouleh or tab(b)ouli) is a Levantine Arab salad traditionally made of bulgur, tomato, cucumber, and finely chopped parsley and mint, often including onion and garlic, seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice and salt.[1][2] Traditionally served as part of a mezze in the Arab world, it was adopted by Cypriots, variations of it are made by Turks and Armenians, and it has become a popular ethnic food in the United States

Coffee Espresso??ILLY

Do u like to have a cup of coffee???Early in the morning?after lunch?? or in mid day to wait you up??

I like LATTE because the rich texture of the milk and coffee mix together. I tried Espresso with whipped cream. How do u taste the coffee??? A sip or one shock?? When i was in Italy, people like to drink Espresso. The cafe is standing place at bar counter while u order and pay your coffee. You dont have time to sit down, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. This is their culture.
I couch surf in Rome and my host told me next to few shop of the apartment, there is a nice cafe. I dont have chance to taste it. I took a cup of coffee at old town of Rome. I ordered Latte and their serve me only milk without coffee. I question them and the bar tender speak a little bit of English explain to me that Latte is means Milk in English. If you would like to have a latte with coffee, than you should order Cafe Latte. At the same time Alex text me that he can meet up. I replied his sms and told him that i have a lattee without cafe and he replied me that SUSU. I taught him some of the Malay where he can go to google translate and search. I laugh after i read his text.

David found a nice cafe at Bangsar Village 2. It call Bistro 42. he like the interior design of the cafe very much. Bistro 42 is a French design cafe. Remember drop by Espressamente Illy at Bangsar Village 1. The have a nice louge area where you can sit back and relax after a busy week.

The LOAF, PESTO

Everytime when i visit Pavillion, KL and i am definately will visit THE LOAF! I like the smell of the bakery. They do have 50% discount of selected new promotion bread.

Two days ago, i had dinner at The Loaf, Bangsar village. It was 8.30pm and not so crowded compare to the next door Delicious. I ordered a Presto Pesto Pasta and Asparagus & Broccoli Soup. They do have dinner set which only cost RM19.90++. I cant remeber thier menu of promotion dinner set. Feel free to check it out.

Now i would like to learn how to make Pesto sauce without garlic. Do u have any idea?
3 cloves garlic

2 cups fresh basil leaves

3 tablespoons pine nuts (pignolia)

1 dash salt and pepper

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
Do u have any idea what can i replace the garlic?

The Menu + drink = Grappa

Do u know what is the name of this drink?? I have this drink in a vegeterian restorant Barcelona, Spain during lunch. We paid 10Euro and you can have a free flow alchohol drink, an apertize, main course and dessert. Can you read the menu??The drink is make from apple, lemon and brandy.
Last weekend i try Grappa at Mezze Wine & Bistro at Medan Damasara which is behind the Victorio Station after we had dinner at seafood restorants, Section 13, PJ. I ordered a Grappa. I read about introduction of Grappa on newspaper and i would like to try. David said that a good choice. The bsitro servce Grappa in wine glass and it's about 30ml only. The 1st sip was strong and we ordered a vegeterian pizza with truffel oil as topping.David descript the truffle grow in Italy wildly. There is two types of Truffle, white and black. The truffle oil we ordered was not so tasting. Perhaps not much people know about it and the kitchen keep it sometime.

After i had a piece of pizza and the taste of Grappa changed. It taste much smoothier compare the sip i had. Grappa is an alcoholic beverage, a fragrant, grape-based pomace brandy of Italian origin that contains 35%–60% alcohol by volume (70 to 120 US proof). Good try :)
